Temporary Leasing of Agricultural Land
Farmers Categories 3, 4 & 5 and Young Farmers
Riżorsi Agrikoli Malta (RAM) is inviting applications for the temporary leasing of agricultural land for a period of three years. This scheme is open to farmers classified under Categories 3, 4 and 5, as well as young farmers under the age of 41, who wish to cultivate food crops.
The aim of this initiative is to ensure that agricultural land is used actively and efficiently, while giving farmers the opportunity to expand or strengthen their farming operations. Land made available through this scheme must be cultivated for food production throughout the lease period.
Applications will be evaluated in a transparent and fair manner, using a points based system that considers farming experience, proximity to existing farmland, the proposed use of the land, and environmentally responsible practices.
