Applications for the Financial Incentive Scheme Close on 20 March 2026

If you have agricultural land that isn’t currently being used, this is your call to take action. Applications for the Financial Incentive Scheme for the Temporary Transfer of Agricultural Land close on 20 March 2026.

The scheme offers non commercial landowners €1,500 per tumolo over three years, while giving young and established farmers the chance to put unused land back into food production. Ownership of the land always remains with you, and the land returns to you once the three year period ends.

If you’ve been considering applying, now is the time to do it , the deadline is fast approaching.
